Should be Geoff Johns/Ethan van Sciver, Flash vol 2, issues around #220, if I remember correctly.

Perhaps not all fans know about it, but as Wally West was written by Mark Waid, he pulled some dirty maneuvers from time to time.
Sorry, I do not remember the numbers of issues... read it several years ago. Flash vol 2, issues published in year 2000 I think.
This story includes a HUGE SHOCKER but since it's old, I think it's not such a big deal if I reveal it... :D

Let's continue with the memory lane then.


Soooo here we have: Floyd Lawton aka Deadshot - the guy who joined Suicide Squad because he saw the obvious appeal in the name of the title, as it aligned well with his goals and interests in life.




... and his friend, for the lack of a better term, George Digger Harkness aka Captain Boomerang, who was probably unchallenged and bored when the old Flash was dead and the new one had not really started kicking his butt yet. At some stage he even manages to lose Floyd's costume.

... and another circumstantial ally sort of friend, Count Werner Vertigo, who keeps on insisting he's not Floyd's lackey, but seems to somewhat share Floyd's goals and interests in life. He's almost exactly more nutty than Floyd, possibly.




From John Ostrander's Suicide Squad (1987) - probably the best comic ever written.

For what it's worth, there is one canon spanking somewhere in the scans.

David Michelinie/Bob Hall 'Emperor Doom' 1987

A pretty notorious cult comic; scenes from it have been on Scans Daily and message boards ect many times; Victor Von Doom is always a badass if well written but this book tops them all; and if you ask me, then it's one of the best comics ever published.

I'm not giving away too many plot details, you must read it yourself, if you haven't yet.
